A Big Decision

Brian and I will be able to enjoy a long weekend vacation' soon. It has been a while since we have been able to do it since our schedules are full and mainly because Brian works seven days a week. We have yet to decide upon our accommodations: camping or hotel. At the beginning, the decision seemed simple; a hotel would be the best. Hesitation was still in out minds, though. We love camping, but nothing compares to spending a night in a nice hotel where the next day you don not have to worry about packing and cleaning. The simple decision started to become stressful moment. We finally sat down to discuss the differences and similarities between the two vacations options, camping or hotel, and came up with the decision about what we are doing on our next vacation.
Spending your vacation camping or in a hotel has the following similarities. First of all, you go either of these places to relax. It means a change in your regular routine and at the end, that is what counts. In both cases, packing is necessary as well as transportation. Just like staying in a hotel requires a payments, camping does too. Staying in a good hotel during high season or holiday vacation requires a reservation if you want a room; in the same way, camping would require a reservation if you want a spot at your favorite place.
But, the real decision was clear when we went over the differences that each option provided. We are lovers of nature; things like the singing of the birds, the sound of the wind going through the leaves of the trees, the movement of the clouds, the changing colors in the sky, all those, are breath-taking moments for us. Even though staying in a hotel is relaxing, the overall experience of camping provides us with some internal peace that quickly becomes a relaxing, irreplaceable experience.
