In the story “A Jury of Her Peers," written by Susan Glaspell, the author illustrates many
social standard that women experienced at the turn of the century. The author perceive the
reader to see how a woman's life was completely ruled by social laws, and how her husband had
a great influence by dictating the women’s life. Ms. Glaspell reveals that the men in the story
were very ignorant, particularly the sheriff and the county attorney.
