Academic Dishonesty
Academic dishonesty is simply a students way of not using his or her own mind of analyzing things, studying them and creating their own thoughts. In turn they submit work that has either been copied, lifted straight from somewhere that is not authorized. Basically a student has stopped being creative, analytical and taken the easy way out and submitted something that is not theirs. Such students then use their creativity in another form altogether in acquiring matter to submit their work not realizing that this takes as much time in thinking negatively whereas thinking positively would make them achieve better desired results. Students have different ways of displaying academic dishonesty:
i. Copy from other friends
ii. Lifted or copy pasted from the internet or other writers
iii. Bought someone else's work from the internet
iv. Asked or paid another individual to do an assignment
v. Or a student sometimes falsifies the results by changing original results by changing grades or even buying a false degree of the internet.
These are just to name a few examples of Academic dishonesty. The acts of applying dishonorable means towards learning and giving exams has been a perpetual source of worry and concern to all academic institutions as well as parents. Students have been given guidelines to follow towards a successful and moral conduct of behavior towards learning just like there always has been two sides of a coin, heads and tails, there are two types of students, a right and wrong, one who follow the ethics and codes of education and others who do not. In this advanced world of competition and challenges honorable behavior is of no concern to them. But of course codes of ethics and behavior must be enforced in the stream of education as it is the early walk of life where right from wrong, moral to immoral should be distinguished to students by parents and teachers, as it will affect students in their later stages...
