Anecdote

I was the first to arrive at the baseball field, as usual. The smell of the freshly limed base lines and perfectly cut grass met my nose. I looked out at the field wishing the game could start sooner; I was ready. The rest of the team began to arrive, cracking jokes to one another, not a worry in the world. We finally assembled in the dugout; “Forty-five minutes,” someone said. I was too worried about playing to hear anything else. Dirt began to fly as people began clapping their together; this was going to be a great game.
