Cigarette smoking should be banned in public places because of the health risks it imposes on people who are exposed to secondhand smoke. Imagine going to the restaurants or bars and unable to enjoy a nice meal or have a good time because the place is overwhelm with cigarette smoke. Not only the smell of the smoke is bad, it clings to clothing, hair, skin, and irritates eyes causing them to water and itch. How pleasant is that? To many non-smokers that is not very pleasant, especially when it is harmful to their health. This essay will argue why smoking should be banned from closed-in public places.
