Throughout an individual’s life, there are many crossroads and choices to be made. Unfortunately, most of these choices happen to be very difficult decisions which at any moment could impact your entire life in an instance. Some decisions are as small as skipping class or deciding what to eat for dinner. On the other hand, there are decisions as great as choosing to "pop the question", determining what college to attend, or even attending college at all. All of these situations are decisions that individuals make every day along with the choice of "cheating". Cheating could be as simple as glancing at another students test or disconnecting a friend’s controller in the middle of a video game. Along with the small comes the big choices of cheating. For example, cheating on one’s significant other in a relationship or having the answers to a final exam and copying them during the test. In this day in age, cheating is like any other negative or immoral decision for the simple fact it is wrong in all aspects. Cheating in general is a part of life that can build scandalism, negativity, fear, and dishonesty into one’s character. In all lights, those are good things. Throughout this paper, our team will explain the negative aspects and although hard to believe, the few positive aspects of "cheating" through many shades of life such as academics, business, future careers, and most importantly, one’s self morals and self worth.
Cheating is defined as obtaining something of worth by the use of deceit or fraud (Merriam-Webster, 2005). Cheating can be very detrimental to your future. You can lose a lot of things in life that are very important. If you are caught cheating at school, you could easily be kicked out.
