Cheating and Technology
Technology is a big part of everyday life. Computers, cell phones, MP3 players can be found in student’s possession across the nation. While most technological devises today provide many services, more of these technological items can be exploited to deceive instructors. According to a study done by Duke University, cheating is definitely on the rise (2007). As society becomes more technologically advanced, so does ways of cheating. Why students cheat, how students cheat, how instructors are using technology to detect cheating, and consequences of getting caught cheating will be revealed.
