It wasn’t that long ago that consumers and companies had to rely on word of mouth or commercials to get their product across. Now with the advent of technology such as the internet, companies have a competitive advantage over mom and pop stores, seeing flashing pop ups when they open a web browser or open their emails for products that they may think about purchasing for mom’s birthday or that gag gift they want for that next bachelor party.
