This concert took place on Wednesday, October, 17 2007 at Dana library with performances by James Winn who played the flute; and David Kopp who played the piano. According to the concert program, the style of music is said to be carefree music that contrasts strongly with the darker, distinctly Germanic strains of Robert Schumann’s Three Romances, which was originally made to by Oboe but it can be associated by other instruments. The Flutist acts as the singer, since there is no lyric to the songs. However, the music eloquently expresses Romantic longings, because of the richly chromatic harmonies in the piano part.
