Control Mechanism Paper

As you know Organization are composed of people and mechanical, and while controlling mechanical is very predictable, human are not. Control is introduced in a company as effaced to create a predictable future behavior from the employee that meets with the standard the origination has setup, but that is not guarantied. Most of the time employee reacts in three different ways toward to much control.

Rigid Bureaucratic Behavior:
In this case the employees follow the standards which will look good on the control measures but will result in slowing down the company and may result in poor customer service. The policies are made to be changed.

Tactical Behavior:
In this case you will find that the standard or the policies that was adapted by the company has no support from the employee, which is due to the lack of explaining the policies to the employee or due to the unfitting nature of the policies. Employees try to find a way around those policies like giving wrong information or by to show a how great his sales number are.

Resistance to Control:
You will find a lot of people who will respond in the way are due to the fact that they see the policies are a way of threatening their job security and status, an decrease their autonomy. Also, if controlling the company is in affect that can lead to a change in the power structures. And that way employee with power can lose it and his expertise maybe looked at as no longer requested. to much control can also lead to competition between the employee are the department in the company which can change the courteous environment that the company build over the years.

Too much control and lack of control can both lead to a dysfunctional organization and as companies continue to grow so dose their policies and the best way to accommodate that is to try to lessen control from the organization and help the individual to be more self controlled.
