DESTIN- PLAY ANALYSIS
Q1- Destin uses a timeless set in order to represent a timeless non naturalistic play with a non linear timeline. The sand in the play is used in order to symbolize death, the ashes of a crematorium and the smoke give the play a ghostlike and ethereal feel and often represents the confusion and disillusion felt by the protagonist, the soldier as he experiences a variety of strange new place and emotions.
Q2- A very effective use of lighting in the play and a recurring technique as well is the use of lighting bars to connect the characters. When the soldier talks to the countess, they are joined not...
