DRUG USAGE
A ‘drug’, can be defined in several different ways, actually it refers to a chemical substance which interacts with normal body functions, after entering in the body of any human being. In medical science a drug is a substance used for various treatments, cure, or diagnosis of disease or in other words it is usually used as an enhancer. Different drugs are prescribed by physicians in order to overcome any chronic disorders. But on other hand, there are some recreational drugs these drugs usually affect central nervous system, these drugs are called as narcotics or hallucinogens. Both categories of drugs i.e. medicinal and recreational are used in different ways like some drugs are taken orally, inhaled, injected, rectally as suppository and insufflations or snorted into the nose. Similarly, entheogens are the drugs included in spiritual or religious use. Recreational drugs are used to have fun or to enhance body functioning for short periods. (Nadelmann 1989)
While fighting against the terrorism in the Iraq and Afghanistan, we have just lost our attention towards one of the biggest enemy and threat of the time “Drugs” Although there is a declination in the drug usage still over dosage in the teenagers and adults are reported. About 22 million Americans along with 80000 people per day who try drugs for the first time in their life are proven to be victim of this curse in the long turn. The destruction imposed by drugs in America can be conceived from the fact that American that counts for 5% of the total population of the World consumes about Two third of the Drug production globally. Usage of Illicit drugs in still a matter of controversy some people are in favor of the drugs like Marijuana, Tobacco and Alcohol while some are strongly against it. (Nadelmann 1989)
