Many employers in today's' job market are searching for their ideal candidate. Usually, an employer's ideal candidate is someone with both experience and education. Employers will often settle for candidates who have education or experience- why are they settling? Isn't this the type of person they want? but it is not cost effective for them to do so.- huh? why? A recent incident at ABC, Inc. is an example of a company whothat could possibly face paying additional costs due to a new employee's lack of experience.
Carl Robins was hired as a campus recruiter by ABC Inc,- superfluous comma six months ago. Despite his short time with the company, Carl was able to put forth some effort and recruit fifteen use numerals for double digit and great (spell out single digit numbers) new employees. The new employees were hired to work in the Operations Department for Monica Carrolls, the Operations Supervisor not a proper noun. Carl selected a new employee orientation date for June 15th in hopes of having the employees at work by the month of as opposed to what? The week or year of July? July.
In May, Monica contacted Carl to inquire about the status of the orientation. It was Carl's responsibility to set up a training schedule, medical testing and collect required documentation for each new employee. He told Monica that everything be more specific would be taken care of on time for the new hires to begin working by July.
Later that month, Carl decided to pull out the new employee files to finalize the paperwork needed for their orientation in three weeks. He realized that he did not have the new employee's required documentation or medical results, which are required prior to orientation. Further, Carl found out that the training room he planned to use for orientation was reserved for the month of (avoid stating the obvious) June.
