Will the growth of the web hasten the decline of the printed book?
Since computers have become a household appliance, technology has changed our world significantly. Computer made life's activities much easier, the things we normally do in the outside world can now do at home by using a computer such as internet shopping and e-banking. People are adapting new technology time to time, school and organization already using email for main communication and people can chat to their friends and family live using messenger software such as MSN and ICQ. University uses interactive learning site for their lecture on the internet, printed books is still essential nowadays, we still need to use printed books for our text books in university and imaging how easy we can obtain a printed book now compare to the early centuries. We can find printed books everywhere in the shop and library. Back in the 12th and 13th centuries Gutenberg's work very hard to find methods of creating more reliable texts than could be achieved by copying manuscripts. In 1452 Gutenberg invented moveable type helped text find its way to commercial publishing where people could obtain them for their own private use. People will slowly adapt and make good use of it whenever new things appeared. Every books has its value, some readers found that a book can be a souvenir to them. The advantage and benefits of a printed book is simple "portable" and "affordable". You can easily transport a book to different places, if you drop a book it doesn't damage or wear out, unless in water. With a printed book, page can be easily accessed and you can write in the margins. The contents can be access anywhere at anytime, knowledge and information can be kept in an acceptable condition with text, graphics and image.
