The telecommunications industry is facing several challenges. Cable companies have entered the market providing customers packages for telephone, computers, and television services. The increase in competition has caused a reduction in returns resulting in a devaluation of the industries’ stocks.
Global Communication has also been affected by the economic pressure facing the telecommunications industry. In the last three years their stock has dropped by over fifty percent.
