Hamlet: Language Analysis

In Stoppard’s Transformation of Hamlet, there are many obvious differences that set this text apart from the original Hamlet written by William Shakespeare. The underlying distinction between the two pieces is an alteration of the ideology. Through the scope of language, I will discuss, using specific examples, how this change in ideology is revealed in text. Also, I will compare how each text’s differences in language affect the overall theme of the piece.
