Introduction
Harrison-Keyes is a global publisher of print products; Harrison-Keyes specializes in scientific, technical and business books and journals, professional and consumer books, textbooks and other educational materials for all levels of study. The company holds about 22,700 active titles and publishes about 2000 new titles each year. In recent years, Harrison-Keyes has suffered the woes plaguing the entire industry. As competition from low-cost retailers eats into profits, publishing companies are finding success or even survival; a challenge. In an effort to revitalize the company, the Harrison-Keyes Board of Directors recently hired a new CEO. This gap analysis will determine the correct course of action for Harrison-Keys to achieve the goals that the company has identified keeping in mind stakeholder perspectives (University of Phoenix Scenario One, 2008).

Harrison- Keys is facing the challenge within the management team. Meg McGill wants the management to carry out the e-books project despite management’s inability to identify with the process in reference to company goals. Meg has the opportunity to present the project to the management team in form of a presentation and explain her vision. She needs to communicate with the management what she can foresee in the project and company goals. In some organizations, selection and management of projects often fail to support the strategic plan of the organization. Strategic plans are written by one group of managers, projects selected by another group, and projects implemented by another (Gray & Larson, 2005).
