INTRODUCTION
In this report we are going to look at some of the Human Resources strategies that are used in the management of Kormilda College, which is an independent Anglican and Uniting Church Secondary College that seeks to provide a high quality, learning environment for students from Year 7 through to Year 12. (Overview of Kormilda College 2004)
Kormilda College is governed by a 12 member Board appointed by its founding churches. The Board members are highly qualified professionals that are drawn from the educational, legal and financial community.
Management of the College as a whole is the responsibility of the Principal, assisted by the Deputy Principal and the Business Manager and supported by over 160 dedicated members of staff. (Overview of Kormilda College 2004)

ANALYSIS
This is a continuing process for the College with many of the policies and procedures detailed below being well established. Commencing in August 2004 the College has been undergoing an external accreditation process conducted by the Council of Internationally Accredited Schools (Australasia). (Overview of Kormilda College 2004) According to (Australian government 2005) this process includes an initial evaluation to ensure the College meets at least the minimum requirements before entering into the process, a self-evaluation period and an external validation conducted by a visiting team through this process the College is undertaking a significant review of all areas of governance and operations. The major sections of the review are: Philosophy and Objectives; Curriculum; Governance and Management; Staff; Student Support Services; Resources; and Student and Community Life.
