Harrison-Keyes a global publisher of print material who
specializes in scientific, technical, and business books and
journals, professional and consumer books, textbooks, and other
educational materials for all levels of study; currently holds 22,700
active titles and publishes 2000 new titles each year (University of
Phoenix, Harrison-Keyes Strategic Plan). Now the company is facing
new challenges from low-cost retailers who are taking away their
profits. Harrison-Keyes newly hired CEO, Meg McGill, plans to take
Harrison-Keyes into the digital age by the promotion of a new program
called e-book publishing. Part of assessing the new program to
become more digital it will become a necessity to do benchmarking of
other companies who have faced similar issues and see how they dealt
with the situation, therefore we will compare and contrast the
benchmarking companies against Harrison-Keyes.

that a company will use for their resources. The three types of
projects are compliance which are the must do projects; operational
projects which support the day-to-day functions of the business; and
strategic projects that help develop the companies long-term vision.
