Input and output devices of computer hardware have made accuracy, convenience, speed and data retention easier.
Humans are known to error however, fewer errors occur and are easily fixed with the advancement of technology in computers. Computers allow one to create documents, look up information, store and process information within seconds. The speed and reliability of accuracy in the old school methods required ample manpower, skills, and repetition, being both costly and time consuming. The input and output devices of computer hardware have made accuracy, convenience, speed and data retention easier.
The value of data accuracy relies on the data’s input that results in information for organizations to utilize. Input devices for computers can consist of any number of hardware components from keyboards, mouse, speakers, scanners, printers and so on. The selection of input device is dependent on the type of processing or transaction that needs to occur in order for the data to be entered into the computer system and created or processed. Various task such as printed questionnaires, telephone survey’s, bank checks, retail tags and creating long documents all require some type of input device that is reliant of computer hardware and the human ability to enter the data into the computers system.
Computer related tasks and input device
Printed questionnaires are used to research and analyze data; the most appropriate method of input devices is dependent on a keyboard, mouse or optical data reader (ODR).
Each of these inputs allows data to be created, documents to be made, or answers to be checked, they are all simple and easy methods that allow the user to enter data correctly. As with a keyboard, the user can backspace and delete or use spellchecker to amend word errors. Formulas of calculations in a spreadsheet can automatically provide answers to problems eliminating the need of calculators to add columns and...
