Introduction
InterClean Incorporated is an institutional and industrial cleaning and sanitation company. In recent years, consumer needs have changed and this has resulted in an increasing demand for new services such as product training for employees, regular monitoring and info sharing of new relevant regulations as well as full cleaning service contracts. In order to meet this growing need, InterClean has developed a new services/solutions model that will pair high-quality products with high-quality service. This new model will be launched in ninety to one hundred and eighty days during a major marketing blitz.
InterClean’s Chief Executive Officer, David Spencer, has decided that the human resources department will lead the staffing, as this will play a very important role in the implementation of the model. This staffing effort will entail recruiting new employees, creating a training and development program and reorganizing the current design of the sales and marketing department. The human resources department has selected Bank of America, Cocoa Cola, Genetech Corporation, Kodak Corporation, National Parks Service, Oklahoma State University, the United Parcel Service and Walt Disney World as companies that may be benchmarked for ideas that would prove advantageous to their plan of action. Our consulting firm will examine these companies in an attempt to assess how these companies handled similar issues and their respective outcomes.
