Introduction
The financial service industry over the past several years has become unstable and many companies have found it difficult to maintain growth without offering a more services that will enhance customer satisfaction. Intersect Investment Services (IIS) has identified a new vision in an attempt to implement an essential change in its operation to provide a broader set of products and services. Intersect hopes to build long-term relationships with its customers, gain respect and trust with current customers, and build brand image.
Executing this new business concept IIS will have to undergo a ground-breaking organizational transformation. The Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales has been earnestly working hard with creating and executing a plan to turn IIS around within a time frame of 12 months. Driven by the industry rivalry in the marketplace Intersect Investments must identify the relationship between external and internal forces. Producing a set of solutions that all management can agree and introducing and supporting organizational change are difficult. Many obstacles that are preventing Intersect from effectively responding to these current changes.

Issue and Opportunity Identification
Intersect Investment Services has a goal to grow its business by adding new customers, retaining current customers, and increasing the amount current customers spend and invests with the organization. The required time frame of 12 months may pressure the executives to motivate managers to come to a set of solutions to implement in this new endeavor. Intersect can grow its business and become a stronger organization by using strategic planning.
