Kraft Foods, Inc. (Kraft) began its operations in 1903, when James L. Kraft opened a wholesale cheese business in Chicago, Illinois. The company had opened its first plant in 1914 and began to manufacture its own cheese. Ten years later, the company made public and opened its first European sales office in London, UK.
