Legal Issues in Reduction of Workforce Simulation
FastServe, Inc. is a $25 million company that direct markets branded sports apparel and recently opened two online marketing and distribution channels. After running into problems with the online distribution, FastServe made the decision to move out of area. FastServe would also have to downsize the online division of employees, retaining only a few for new positions and releasing the others. Many companies are turning to layoffs or reduction in the workface to help cut costs for the organization. These layoffs are often complex and can cause possible risk of discrimination claims against the organization.
