Social Influence
Myriad social influences exist in each person’s life. Many of these are most obvious in group settings, though it would be a safe bet that the majority of the influencing is done at a subconscious level. The number of concepts, theories and principles which fall under the larger umbrella of Social Influence are impressive.
Influence can come in many forms from simple facial expressions and gestures, to more complex concepts such as Groupthink, Group Polarization and Social Conformity. It is unlikely that we have not had experience with one or more of these in our lifetimes – even less...
