Overview of Management
Kudler Fine Foods is an upscale specialty food store located in the metropolitan area of San Diego California with three different locations.
Founder Kathy Kudler opened the first store in La Jolla, CA and thanks to her management skills, the store recovered the investment and was already profitable with a growing revenue after nine months of its opening. By 2000 a second store was opened Del Mar, CA and 3 years later the third store Encinitas, CA was introduced to the public.
Just as any company, Kudler has three levels of management, which are Strategic Managers (senior executives), Tactical Managers (middle managers) and Operational Managers (lower-level managers, supervisors). All of them have important roles within the company and in order to succeed in their position, they should learn their functions within the company.
From the President-in this case Kathy Kudler-to the middle and lower level manager. It's needed that every one of them to understand his/her role in the company to prevent frustrations and non-productive periods.
The four management functions are planning and strategizing which normally is part of the senior executives, because it involves the future of the complete company. It is the what to do to reach our goals and keep supporting our mission. In Kudler's case
