Abstract
In today’s society there seems to be this innate quality in everyone to do what ever it takes it win. Whether this is by taking performance enhancing drugs, illegal drugs, or just training extra hard. We as humans will do whatever it takes to gain the competitive advantage over the next person in sport.
For most people it is simply just a matter of balancing out several things in your life. One must be prepared to train almost everyday as well as eat the right foods. A good night’s sleep and a steady sleeping schedule are also very important for the development and healing of muscles. Regular exercise and a good work out routine are paramount in order to stay in good physical health these days. When we are constantly being bombarded with unhealthy foods, one must at the least attempt to follow some sort of work out plan.
I personally decided to record my eating habits, sleep, exercise, weight and hours of academic work for a period of seven weeks to see if living an active and healthy lifestyle really does have an impact on your life, both physically and mentally.

A good diet is definitely one of the most important factors which contribute to being a healthy person. The term ‘we are what we eat’ literally rings true in so many ways. “Most commonly, it means that the quality of your diet can determine how you look, act, and feel” (Sarafino, 2006, p.204).
