USA World Bank is on the brink of introducing a new product to the public that could make or break the future of the bank. The past couple of years, USA World Bank has not been very successful with the introduction of new products. This has increased the drive to find a new and innovative product to offer the market that will result in a turnaround from the last couple of years. Two products are under review and being thought about for potential release. Both products have the same basic concept but completely different target markets. The different target markets are the key importance to the choice that needs to be made.
There is a possibility for a consumer card that will work like a frequent flier program where customers can earn rewards as a result of their purchase with the cards. There are also discussions about a card for small business owners. This card will give them the opportunity to have a credit line of $200,000 with additional reward components. The executives thought from the beginning that they completed there research and the presentations that would be made to Brian Allen would be fool proof until they ran into a few snags.
Data shows that both cards could be of great benefit to the future of the bank but the direction in which the bank should actually proceed is up for discussion. Many question the data and if all parameters were considered when research was conducted, for instance if the proper sample population was used when the focus groups were conducted. Knowing that the introduction of the new product is very important to the future of the bank, the executives decided that more extensive research should be done and represented.
