Training Room Conversion Project
Harrah's Rincon Casino is a tribal gaming facility in Valley Center, CA, that is operated by members of the Rincon Indian tribe. Management services are provided by Las Vegas-based Harrah's Entertainment Group. Though gaming is a large part of the business structure, Harrah's Rincon's primary focus is to provide high quality entertainment and outstanding customer service. In an effort to streamline processes and provide better services, Harrah's Rincon has initiated a plan to identify areas that would benefit by becoming digitally based.
During the planning and analysis stages of this initiative, a serious lack of training facilities at the Rincon facility was identified. Currently, employees must be trained on systems at off-site locations or on the job. While training at off-site locations can provide instruction at a system level, the costs to train each employee will significantly increase. Likewise, by training on the job, costs are reduced but the training provided to each employee is restricted to the particular system on which they were trained. Harrah's Rincon management believes that by providing on-site training is the best option for both the employee and management. Training costs are reduced while simultaneously being able to provide more training across the entire business area.
Harrah's Rincon has developed the following objectives that must be met in order to successfully complete this project:
1. The training facility must be easily reconfigurable to be utilized as a conference room when required.
2. The training facility must contain all necessary equipment to support training for all departments.
3. The training must accommodate up to 12 students and one instructor.
