In today's competitive environment sales personnel spend a great deal of time away from office to win new customers and manage existing ones. They are under a constant pressure to be more efficient, work under aggressive sales targets and still be able to meet corporate profitability goals. As companies are focusing heavily on global market sales executives are spending more time away from office.
Challenges
Due to competitive market dynamics, sales people have a continuous need to give professional presentations, keep up with latest technology and product information. AT&T being a corporate icon, its sales force realized two things one, no company is safe from change, two, don't forget your customers. Such global company has to achieve and maintain certain position in the global market as well as local market and once a company that was biggest, wealthiest and strongest is on the verge of unraveling. The sales force face new challenges as newer services and goods come into marketplace. One of the challenges they face is the understanding and moving with the face of new technology. Now, in this downfall economy, they say hardest part is to get new customers and keeping the ones that are already dedicated. The change is constantly occurring and coping with the change that brings new ideas and perspectives is a challenge to welcome. In the competitive market, they must choose how to approach the customers with the products and services. Biggest challenge for the sales force is the market adaptation of the products and services and presenting these products and services to our current and new customers.
