Technology & Instructions in the Workplace
Technology has evolved since the Stone Age, where humans were hunter-gatherers, which involved limited use of tools. The first major technologies were tied to survival, hunting, and food preparation. As we look at the history of technology we see a history of the invention of tools and techniques for doing practical things. As knowledge of technology grows, it has enabled the ability to create new things that have assisted humans in their everyday life. Today's technology is every where we turn, in the streets, in our homes, schools, and our workplace, but is technology for everyone and does it affect our workplace? In the following paragraphs I will write about technology and instructions in the workplace. I will answer some common questions below:
1. Is the use of technology to help or hinder us in the workplace?
2. Are the Help support programs organized and user friendly?
3. What would most users prefer; Wizard or Tutorials, index formats, manuals through PDF files, and or prefer to connect to a web page link?
4. Do most users prefer electronic or hard copy support?
Is the use of technology to help or hinder us in the workplace?
I believe that technology had helped and will continue to help us in the workplace. Every business has there own way of doing things but it all comes to the same use of technology that helps each one of us complete our tasks. In my part, I use the computer to draw plans surveys, subdivisions, and utility layouts, a complete set.
