The Hanke Group, P.C. is a small accounting firm in San Antonio, Texas. With more than 70 people on staff and seven shareholders, the firm has had steady growth over the years, increasing $2 million in revenue in 1994 to $10.5 million in 2006. Similar to Riordan Manufacturing, The Hanke Group had to respond to the issues of retaining talent and restructuring their performance management system. Under the original system, some team members received very little or no feedback from their supervisors. Team member evaluations were not administered regularly and goals were not clearly set.
