Learning how to relax can be an extremely helpful and useful thing to do, it can help you better manage a range of problems that include stress, tension, anxiety and depression. Relaxation can be a powerful tool, when actively utilized, in coping with difficult and stressful situations. Applied relaxation can produce a distinct physiological state that is the distinct opposite of the way your body feels and reacts under stress and tension. Applied relaxation techniques are used to recognize early signals of anxiety, and it is also useful in learning to cope with the stress instead of being overwhelmed by it.
