The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek has many similarities and differences when it comes to the production of the actual play and reading the play. But the reviews of the actual production put the play in a good perspective for someone that needs questions answered about the play, whether they have seen it or read it or not. There have been many positive reviews on the production of The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek.

When reading the play and seeing the play you see a lot of differences. When you read a play you have to imagine things and get images in your head of what you are reading compared to when you see the actual play itself and see everything that is going on. When reading Trestle I had a good idea of what was going on and having the knowledge of the plot and main theme of the story. But when seeing the play I received such a broader idea of everything that was going on because you can see and listen to the

characters. When reading the play, certain things would throw me off, like there were times Pace was talking randomly and to whom ever. But when seeing the play done you know what's going on and that she is a "ghost". When it comes to what was more enjoyable, definitely seeing the play was much more enjoyable than reading it. But what do other people think about The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek as a production?

There are many critics who liked the play a lot. An excerpt from the Chagrin Valley Times quoted Herb Hammer saying "Director Fred Sternfeld has caught the essence of this very difficult stage work. He's able to blend story and poetry and keeps the action interesting all the way through". This quote is very agreeable, because the stage work looks incredibly difficult to make, work around, and do.
