In the past tourism was only for rich people, who can afford the high costs of traveling to other places and countries that normal people couldn't visit or see except in pictures. But now things had turned, because taking a vacation to travel to other countries became much easier and affordable for most families. And people now get to choose where they want to go for a vacation, a compare between two different places: Alaska and Hawaii would reveal a lot of differences but also some similarities.
First of all, getting to Alaska or Hawaii is completely different. To get to Hawaii taking a plane is the best thing to do, when to get to Alaska it is preferred to take a cruise ship and enjoy the view of the Snow Mountains. Besides that renting a car in Alaska is impractical because of the great distances between places, where it is convenient to rent a car in Hawaii because it is cheap and the distances are close.
Moreover, there are significant differences in the accommodations between the two places, in Alaska the food is generally expensive and it has poor quality, and hotels are much more expensive than Hawaii, which has a huge number of different restaurants with excellent kinds of food and good quality.
Obviously, when comparing two different places there will be differences in the places that might be visited, in Alaska the two most important places that should be considered to visit are Chugach Mountains and Mount McKinley which is the highest mountain in North America with a height of 20,000 ft over sea. For Hawaii enjoying a trip to Volcano national park, Waimea Canyon and the wonderful beaches of Hawaii would be nice.
Another Difference is the climate in the two places. In Alaska the temperature in the summer is perfect and it is seldom to rain during the summer, but in Hawaii it sometimes gets very hot during the summer and it rains a lot.
