A Woman's Choice (Abortion)
Ever since the 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision that outlawed all national laws regulating abortion, it has develop into one of our nations most controversial and most talked about issues. Outlawing abortion would be based upon on person’s moral values and forcing it on another’s which isn’t right. Should we prevent someone from drinking because there are people who think it is wrong? Can we make it an obligation for a married couple stay married because few are opposed to divorce? The answer to both of these questions is no. Not only are these unconstitutional, but it is extremely unrealistic to believe that we can control the lives of others simply because their beliefs differ from ours.
Abortion is a personal matter and it should be handled by the individual, not the judicial system. Whether a female gets an abortion or not should depend on her, she knows if she is ready or not to have a child. If she feels that having this baby will make the life of her and the child miserable who gives us the power or even the right condemn her to that kind of existence because few say its wrong . Anti-Abortionist want people to believe many things that aren’t true, one that it is murder, two that girls are irresponsible if they have an unplanned pregnancy and lastly that this decision is one that should be made but not just the mother but her family if she is a minor and the father.
A fertilized egg is often compared to blueprints. Blueprints provide a diagram for constructing a building but they are not yet a building until completion.
