Apple computer in 2006 had a successful year in revenues, technology and competition with more to come in the ladder years. From Mac computers to the I-pod, business is a success for Apple. Leading the industry in innovation with its award-winning desktop and notebook Mac computers, I-Pod and Apple applications are on the rise. Apple is also the leading competitor in the online music genre with millions of its I-Pod's sold and over billions of songs down loaded from I-Tunes.

Over the years Apple has been through many trials and tribulations. Unsuccessful quarters, changing of CEO's and new technology are some of the changes Apple has encountered over the years. Apple computers were founded in 1976 by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs hence the Apple I was introduced as its first computer. In 1977 Apple II was introduced to the public by Wozniak and was launched in 1978 and sold more than 10,000 units by 1980. The Apple II was so successful Jeff Raskin begun to develop a new product which was named Macintosh in 1979 but due to conflicts Raskin resigned in 1981. In 1984 the Macintosh was introduced which was the first computer to use a 3.5 inch disk drive. 1985 was deemed a bad year for Apple, Jobs resigned and the company cut one-fifth of its employees also reporting their first quarterly loss. Two years later Apple released Macintosh computer which was deemed unsuccessful.
