Changes In The Workforce
Many people have the idea of starting a job when they leave college and working their way through a company or maybe within a certain profession that has been the idea of a career. For many people the world of work will not be like that. Working has changed through the years. What used to be seen as something being important in the work place and with the economy changes, the relationships between staff at different levels have changed. This is due to the change in the structure of employment - the reduction in the number of workers within the workforce.
It will be most unlikely with the young people who enter the world of work today will have the same job for their work life. They will encounter a many number of jobs in different industries, they will have to be more flexible and be prepared to move to maintain employment. There will be many changes that they will be faced with, working from home will be more common, many people will have to put up with fixed term contracts, and the way they are to be expected to dress for work is changing.
Communication is the key to critical and understandable business. Organizations can't force people to change even in the best of circumstances. They can, however, build strong relationships with their people so that employees have the courage and confidence to take first a tentative step and then a bolder one in the right direction. When changes occur, in order for employers to have loyal and standby employees, they have to communicate with them to let them know what is going on, instead of just implementing the changes without employees knowing what is going on. It is human nature to cling to the familiar, particularly during times of change. To build a strong relationship, companies have to build trust. To build trust, they have to be honest with people, repeatedly sharing what they know.
