Out of the many talk shows on TV, very few hosts use the power of television to relay a positive message. It seems like most of the talk shows today thrive off drama and controversy. Some of the longest running talk shows have been known to have hosts who take an interest in bettering the lives of their viewers.
The first example that comes to mind is Montel Williams of "The Montel Williams Show." He has been concentrating on motivating guests to find solutions to their problems. Montel is a spiritual person who is often straightforward with his beliefs in God. His commitment to resolving family issues shows his strong family values. The Montel Show is dedicated to sending a positive message by offering professional help for his guest who face challenging issues.
Another good example would be Dr. Keith Ablow of "The Dr. Keith Ablow Show." He inspires his guest to set their own personal goals and empowers real people to take steps to improve their lives. His personality includes telling the truth, however he feels that the truth helps people grow and motivates them to improve their lives. The Dr. Keith Ablow show focuses on problems and issues relevant to everybody's life through compelling personal stories. Keith Ablow provides professional guidance and counseling to his many guests.
Lastly, we have Dr. Phil McGraw of "Dr. Phil." Dr. Phil addresses weight loss, family issues, relationship rescues and youth intervention and has created a more positive outlook on life for his viewers. He has transformed a regular TV talk show into one hour counseling sessions. Dr. Phil features experts and follow up counseling for guests and strives to make a continued impact on the community.
