Alex's Lemonade Stand was founded in July of 2000 by a four year old
girl named Alexandra Scott. Alexandra had been diagnosed with
Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer, when she was only one year old. The first lemonade stand was set up on her own front lawn, and was very successful. Every summer after that, she would hold the annual Alex's Lemonade Stand event to raise additional money towards a cure. News had spread of her work and it inspired other lemonade stands to raise money for the cause. In August of 2004, Alex passed
away from complications from cancer. By the time of her passing her and many other lemonade stands...
