“Darkness” is a poem written in 1816 by George Gordon Lord Byron who is considered as a leading figure in Romanticism for his famous works including poetry, music, novel, opera, and painting. Along his famous literary works, he is also known for his corrupted life styles including large debts, love affairs with numerous women including his half sister and even with men. From the birth, he was born with a clubfoot, which his sensitivity to it haunted his life and his works.
