For the pass 200 years African slaves and their descendents have endured many great misfortunes. The wealth of the nation in the first half of the 19th century was greatly enhanced by the exploitation of African and Native American slaves.With the history of slavery in the United States beginning in 1619, not soon after the English colonists first settlement in Virginia many have bestow on them hardships.
