Common Issues of Expanding the Business and Going Public
This paper is the result of the examination of twelve companies; Gateway, Dell, World Com, Enron, AT&T, Southtrust Bank, Ford, Motorola, Gallery Furniture, Home Depot, Google, and Yahoo. All these companies faced problems, some were due to their attempt to expand the business and others were centered on going public. Several of the companies faced the problem of attempting to expand their business. Each company implemented its plan and although they were each unique, there were many similarities to the Gene One Scenario.
