Abraham Maslow is one of the founders of humanistic psychology. “He believed that an accurate and viable theory of personality must include not only the depths but also the heights that each individual is capable of attaining” (Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, 2003). Abraham Maslow has done more to change our view of human nature and human possibilities than has any other American psychologist. Abraham Maslow has done a great deal in his lifetime, which we will discuss, including major contributions to the psychology of personality and major contributions to the workplace that are still continued to be used today.
