Merry Wives

My favorite character in all of the plays that we have read to date would be the Merry Wives of Windsor. I liked this play because it was full of twists and turns throughout the entire play. I like the storyline in this plays because it deals with lies and deception throughout the whole play. I have always like stories that have tales of revenge that are also amusing.

Falstaff stands for the temptation of the flesh the world, the flesh and the devil. Mrs. Page and Mrs. Ford are not heroines with unexampled powers, but ordinary women, cheerful and right-minded, to whose minds Falstaff is as nothing. The rest of the characters in the play all seem to stand for what are right....
