Confession Of A Video Vixen
Let me start off by stating that I absolutely loved Confessions of a Video Vixen. The author, Karrine Steffans did an excellent job on connecting the reader with her story. It was as if Steffans reached out to you and pulled you into the book as if you were a character yourself. Between the laughter and tears, Karrine catches your attention by shocking you chapter by chapter causing you to yearn for more.
An instant bestseller upon publication, Confessions of a Video Vixen is the page-turning memoir of Karrine Steffans: dancer, actress, and companion to many celebrities (Amazon). Steffans shamelessly shares all the gritty details on her life. She grew up wanting to be famous and fabulous, always wanting to be with the “in” crowd. She achieved her goals using her female power… sex. But perchance this is what she was to be expected of, considering her past. Her first husband, Kool G Rap, physically and verbally abused her. She never managed to have many female friends. She seems to have slept with every famous athlete, singer or rapper that you could think of, beginning even before she began to star in music videos.
The author’s main objective of writing this book was to make its reader aware of what a female goes through in the hip hop industry as a “video girl.” Brilliantly, Steffans warns her readers by being brutally honest, informing readers that being the next “hot girl” in the hottest artist’s video is not everything it’s “cracked up” to be (Steffans,...
