Era of Greatness
Dedication, honor, sacrifice, and duty, these words, and many more, set a standard of what it takes to be part of one of the greatest generation in history. The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw teaches the reader life lessons that shaped the country and “saved the world” (B). A greater respect deserved for the WWII generation lives in the hearts of anybody that reads this book. The stories told by people that survived World War II and by the people that lost loved ones remind us “in our more cynical and fragmented age, that with enough collective energy and spirit anything can be accomplished” (Goodwin).
