Genocide In Rwanda

Genocide is a crime on a different scale to all other crimes against humanity. It implies the intention to completely exterminate a chosen group. The genocide that occurred in Rwanda in 1994 claimed the lives of more than 800,000 Rwandans. This was probably the greatest crime against humanity that occurred in the second half of the 20th century and there were no groups, foreign or indigenous, that executed enough force to prevent this from happening.
