Introduction
Workplace violence can be defined as any language or action that would make a person uncomfortable in the workplace; or it may include bodily injury inflicted by one person on another. This leaves the definition open to include a range from an offensive verbal comment to murder, and all in between.
Workplace violence is a growing problem in both public and private businesses and organizations. It is a serious occupational health and safety issue which can result in the worst outcome, death. It has become the third leading cause of death related to an occupational injury, (OSHA, 2000)....
