Both The Rocking-Horse Winner and The Destructors show how a lack of love, money and society feeds into gluttony as well as overtaking a person’s ability to cease erroneous actions and their need to prove their worth.
There are many differences and similarities between D.H. Lawrence's "Rocking Horse Winner” and Graham Greene's "The Destructors. One similarity between the two stories is that in both stories the main character is a young boy with something to prove.
